Dr. Ousterhout will present a yearly preview of upcoming pipeline agents to help educate on issues including recent trends, comparisons with current available therapeutics, and information on agents that will become available in generic formulations in the near future.

Professional Development

At UMass Medical School’s Clinical Pharmacy Services, we believe that ongoing education is essential for our pharmacy staff. To support the career growth of all staff members, we offer a variety of avenues for professional development, including opportunities to work with faculty and researchers from UMass Medical School and various schools of pharmacy.

Continuing pharmacy education seminars

Our Continuing Education Program conducts afternoon and/or evening seminars for staff members. Delivered in-house by our clinical pharmacy consultants, these accredited presentations focus on timely clinical topics.

Conferences

Clinical staff members gain essential networking opportunities by attending both local and national professional pharmacy conferences. By participating in and presenting at the following meetings, our team remains actively involved in the pharmacy profession:

Mentorship

Our Mentorship Program provides individualized clinical training and ongoing assessment for employees seeking career advancement within Clinical Pharmacy Services. The program includes a personal action plan tailored to individual performance and goals.

  • Evaluation of clinical information
  • Clinical research strategies
